Our Clamshell Machines are portable, split-frame pipe-cutting and beveling tools. They are designed for precision machining of pipes and tubes. The Krais SFSF Slim Fit Clamshell Series is designed for strength and ease of use, making it ideal for machining in tight spaces. Key features include:- Low-profile body with a height of 3.248" (82.5 mm) up to 24" and 4.47" (113.7 mm) up to 48", and a width of 2.5" (63.5 mm) for maneuverability in confined spaces
- 15 standard models cover diameters from 1" (33.4 mm) to 48" (1219 mm) OD, with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric drive options
- Includes a lever-type tripper module for operator safety and steel plates for precise machine squaring on the pipe
- Equipped with a variety of accessories and tool holders for improved performance
- Keyway-mounted motors prevent twisting and gear ring damage
- Adjustable locator pads minimize the need for multiple locators

- K70 RA Motors: Right-angle motors optimized for applications requiring a compact footprint without sacrificing performance.
Clamshell Machine Add-Ons
We also distribute bridge cross slide add-ons for all Krais Split Frame SlimFit Series machines. The BCS is designed to be bolted onto the split frame ring easily and quickly. Sizing options for bridge cross slides include:- Range Max: 14,000 – 44,000
- Range Min: 8,000 – 42,000
